Justin Timberlake's campaign to bring sexy back is paying off. His new solo album FutureSex/LoveSounds has hit #1 in Canada, the US, Britain, Ireland, Australia and Singapore and landed in the top five in a host of other countries. The album is also the most pre-ordered album on iTunes ever.

Eminem and Kim Mathers have begun divorce proceedings. A Michigan judge referred the case to a mediator yesterday to help the couple come to an agreement before returning to court. The couple have yet to reach an agreement on financial support issues and custody of their daughter. Eminem filed for divorce in April.

The nominations for the 2006 American Music Awards were announced earlier this week and hip-hop artists like Kanye West, T.I. and the Black Eyed Peas are all in the running for more than one award.
Nominees in pop/rock, country, soul/rhythm & blues, rap/hip-hop, Latin, alternative, contemporary inspirational and adult contemporary categories were announced by Carmen Electra and Tyrese at a press conference on Tuesday September 19th.
The Black Eyed Peas matched Mariah Carey, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nickelback with three nominations for the award show, which will be held November 21 at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium. Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, T.I. and the Pussycat Dolls each received two nominations.
